perrySenior right hander Sam Wadsworth threw a two hit shutout Tuesday night as Dallas Center Grimes blanked Perry 6-0 ending the Bluejay’s 5 game winning streak.  Wadsworth was dominant throwing first and second pitch strikes all night long.  The game took only one hour and nineteen minutes to play.   Wadsworth allowed two hits, one walk and 5 strikeouts.  He allowed only 5 baserunners all night.  Perry’s two hits came from Ben Daniels and Nic Wilhelmi.  Justin Carlyle provided 3 RBI’s for DCG.  Jeremiah Ellett took the loss for Perry, allowing 5 earned runs on 5 hits.  He falls to 6-3 on the season.  DCG improves to 15-12, while the Bluejays fall to 15-13.  The game was Mike Long’s 996th game of his coaching career.  Perry will be back on the road tonight with a trip to Winterset.  Sophomore left hander Will Whiton is expected to make the start.  First pitch is slated for 7:30.
