The 2013 Raccoon River Conference champion ADM baseball team will be playing its first of three non-conference games in the next three days tonight.

Number seven in Class 2A Ogden will host the tenth-ranked Tigers in Class 3A.

ADM head coach Jason Book says he wants to finely-tune the basics in the next few games so that his players understand that fundamentals can’t be an issue come postseason tournament time.

“Well, we’re going to be looking, just at the basic fundamentals stuff, kind of breaking things down again and fixing the little mistakes (and) making sure they’re having a good approach at the plate and having good at-bats and doing what they are suppose to be doing in the field.  Communicating and backing up balls and taking good routes and things like that.  But, we just got to stick to it and clean up all the small things and we should be sitting pretty good.”

Tonight’s varsity contest will start at 7:30pm from Ogden and after tonight, the Tigers will be back at home against number three in Class 1A Van Meter on Thursday and Lewis Central from Council Bluffs on Friday.
