Greene County and Saydel (Des Moines) were rained out of a June 14 Heart of Iowa Activities Conference baseball game and the makeup date was set for July 15 in Jefferson. Some time later, the Eagles contacted the Rams stating they were already scheduled for a non-conference game on that date at Bondurant vs. Bondurant-Farrar, so the Rams will travel to Bondurant to meet Saydel at 5:30 p.m. Greene County will be the home team.

Coach Mark Sawhill’s Rams are 14-15 overall and 7-10 in the conference. Greene County has three wins in a row heading into this week. The final regular season game for the Rams is in Jefferson at Allensworth Field on July 17 with non-conference opponent Dallas Center-Grimes.

The postseason for the Rams begins in Creston on Friday, July 19 vs. Creston in Class 3A district play. Winterset and top-10 rated Glenwood play at 5 p.m. with Greene County and Creston to follow. Coverage of the Rams and Panthers on Friday starts at approximately 6:45 p.m. on KG98.
