ADMThe ADM Tigers baseball team started its postseason tournament trail in the right direction picking up a crucial first round victory over Perry 8-0 on Friday night.

Next up for the Tigers is a familiar opponent in Nevada.  The Cubs beat Gilbert in its first round game 5-2 on Friday.

Just like Perry, one of the nine loses on the season for ADM was to the Cubs.  The Tigers lost 5-4 at their home Saturday tournament on June 22nd.

Head coach Jason Book talks about the second-round opponent and what Nevada presents as a challenge in tonight’s game.

“Cubs are a really scrappy team.  They put the ball in play and they work really hard (and) they don’t give you anything.  They’ll try to force you into some mistakes.  So we just have to go out again and play our game, if we do that we should be victors.”

The 28-9 ADM Tigers will take on the 21-12 Nevada Cubs which can be heard on K107 starting at 6:45pm with the pregame show followed by the first pitch at 7pm on the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network.
