When Greene County and Glenwood meet tonight on KG98 in Creston for the Class 3A District 15 baseball title it will be the Rams vs. the Rams. Eighth rated Glenwood is 26-9 after winning 8-1 vs. Winterset on Friday in the opening round of the postseason. Greene County is 15-17 after an opening round win over Creston by a score of 8-5. The winner will meet either third ranked Harlan or Carroll High in Thursday’s Substate 8 final. The Cyclones and Tigers play tonight in Harlan.

Greene County sophomore Colton Fitzpatrick injured an ankle Friday night and left the game vs. Creston after four innings. Coach Mark Sawhill told Raccoon Valley Radio Fitzpatrick would be the starting pitcher vs. Glenwood if the ankle allows him to play. If not, senior Reed Ostrander would be the likely starting pitcher. Friday’s winning pitcher, sophomore Riah Nelsen, threw more than 100 pitches in the complete game victory.
