ADM will square off against its conference rival Boone tonight for the Class 3A substate number seven.

Boone beat Humboldt 8-3 last night after the game was suspended in the third inning on Monday.

ADM will try to put away the Toreadores for a third time this season after beating Boone twice in the regular season 5-3 at Boone on June 19th and a 2-1 win in Adel on July 8th.

The anticipated starter for the Tigers, Dylan Nelson has a 1-1 record lifetime against Boone with his most recent victory on June 19th.  Head coach Jason Book says if Nelson can come out with the same intense focus and concentration, then he’ll them in a position to win the game.

ADM has struggled with Boone in the last two seasons only winning one out of four times.  However, the Tigers are making its fourth straight substate game and trying to get to the Class 3A state tournament for a third consecutive year.

If you can’t make it to the game in Boone, then you can hear it on KKRF with the pregame show starting around 6:45pm and first pitch will be at 9pm on the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network.
