Two teams the Greene County Rams defeated during the high school softball regular season finished sixth and eighth in their respective classes on Wednesday at the State Tournament north of Ft. Dodge at Rogers Sports Complex. Ft. Dodge St. Edmond was sixth in Class 2A while Denison-Schleswig was eighth in 4A. Greene County defeated the Gaels in Jefferson 4-3 in 11 innings and they topped the Monarchs in Jefferson 1-0. The Rams went 26-10 for the season and lost in the 3A regional semifinals.

State softball semifinals are today in all five classes.
