A Greene County high school senior will serve a second consecutive year on the state 4-H council.
Kami Badger was selected to the state 4-H council last year and was recently announced that she will serve on the council again for the 2013-14 school year.
She has been involved in 4-H since fourth grade and has been participating in county and state fairs every year. She describes her favorite part about 4-H.
“I think the most enjoyable experience is just getting to meet all the different people in 4-H, not just locally here in Greene County but since I’ve been able to travel statewide, that has definitely been one my of favorite parts of being in 4-H.”
She comments that the state council meets four times every year with the most important task is to organize the state 4-H convention held every summer in Ames. Badger says this last convention was a lot of fun and she really enjoyed meeting other 4-H’ers from around the state.
