Greene Co. SupervisorsThe Greene County Board of Supervisors met yesterday in regular session.

During the open forum, Bob and Joyce Ausberger brought a concern to the Board about some signage that was taken down last week to the entryway of the Lincoln Highway Interpretive Site by Grand Junction and that they were asked to get equipment left out by the site off the county road due to liability issues.

The Supervisors determined that they would form a committee to handle those situations.

Stacy Lentsch with Region XII Council of Governments in Carroll County gave the Board a complete hazard mitigation updated plan.  She said that the last updated comprehensive plan for the county was done in 2008 and that every five years, a new plan had to be updated in order to qualify for Federal Emergency Management Agency funds in case of a natural disaster or hazard is prevalent in the county.

The Board passed a resolution confirming its commitment to the multi-jurisdiction hazard plan along with the other five counties apart of Region XII’s area.
