A reminder to anyone in the Perry School District interested in becoming part of the board of education, nomination papers are due this week.
Two of the district’s five school board positions are up for election this fall and current directors Kathy Powell and Darek VanKirk have said they don’t plan to run for re-election.
In order to get your name on the ballot, interested residents must submit paperwork with a minimum of 50 signatures of support.
Superintendent Lynn Ubben says they’re looking for team players that are interested in getting to know more about how the district works and ways to improve student achievement.
Nominations need to be turned into board secretary Kent Bultman at the school administrative office by Thursday August 1st. The election takes place September 10th.
