A deputy while on routine patrol discovered a small fire along the fence on W Avenue between 250th and 260th Street. The Grand Junction Fire and Rescue was dispatched to extinguish the fence post that was on fire.

A deputy was advised of criminal mischief to a car in Paton.

A deputy was asked to speak to a resident in Dana about the trash in her yard blowing into the neighboring yard.

A deputy responded to a two vehicle accident that occurred on 220th Street  just east of Jefferson. A 1996 Ford F250 pickup which is owned and was being driven by Ben Michael Smith of Grand Junction was westbound on Highway 30 when the vehicle in front of him was attempting to pass, but was unable to do so, causing Smith to reduce speed and was struck from the rear by Allison Marie Kite of Defiance, Iowa. The 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier that was being driven by Allison Kite sustained approximately $3,000 in damages and Kite was issued a citation for following too close.  The Smith pickup truck sustained some $300 in damages and neither driver was injured.

A deputy was dispatched to Scranton for the report of a two vehicle accident. A 1994 Buick that is owned and was being driven by Diane Ray Kneifl of Scranton was northbound on Main Street and failed to yield to the approaching vehicle on her right. A vehicle that was being driven by Jake Joseph Kasperbauer of Carroll, Iowa, struck the Kneifl vehicle as they entered  into the intersection. The Kneifl vehicle sustained approximately $1500 in damages and the Kasperbauer vehicle $800. Diane Kneifl was issued a citation for failure to yield to the vehicle on the right.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
