While ADM baseball enjoyed several successes throughout the season, it was the senior leadership that gave them the push to finish with a 29-10 record.
There are four players who hung up their Tiger jerseys one last time at the end of the summer season and they are Logan Lantz, Jordan Grove, Kyle Herrick and Dylan Nelson.
Logan Lantz didn’t get as much playing time as the other three seniors, but head coach Jason Book points out, it was his desire to want to help the team anyway he could that made him valuable.
“He was the first one to lend a helping hand when somebody needed help with something, or if there was field work to do, or stuff needed to be carried to and from the bus, he kind of took that on as his role. And (he) did just a tremendous job.”
Jordan Grove, Kyle Herrick and Dylan Nelson started every game for ADM this season. From Grove’s speed and determination to Herrick’s hard work ethic to Nelson’s calm but tough-nose competitiveness, each one brought a special trait to the team, adds coach Book.
He wishes all his seniors the best of luck in their futures and was privileged to have such a fantastic group of seniors for his first year at the helm for the Tigers baseball program.
