ADMThe Adel-DeSoto-Minburn fall sports season started on Monday with practices and with a new season comes expectations and goals for every program.

Athletic Director Doug Gee says he expects both coaches and students to keep up the strong competitive tradition at ADM.

“We’re used to at ADM having a very competitive teams at all levels and in all of our programs and I would expect our coaches and our athletes to do the same thing this year.”

He comments that the football team is coming off of two great seasons with a combined record of 18-5 and even though they lose key positions, he knows head coach Mike Wishner will produce another great season.  Gee describes how the volleyball team almost made it to state last season and the look of the cross country team this year.

“Just a few points shy of making it to the state tournament last year and they’ve got the majority of their girls back and a few of them like Torrie Hook and Haley Schepers have been playing since they were freshmen here and I expect them to step up and do very well for us.  And cross country, (head) coach Zwank has got a great group back also.”

All three programs will have their first official competitions during the week of August 26th.
