There were a total of 86 area golfers who competed at the annual three course scramble golf tournament this past weekend.
Organizer Mike Healy with Jefferson Municipal Golf Course says that all 86 golfers played at the three county courses, Jefferson Municipal Golf Course, Lakeside Golf Course and The Hills Golf Course both located in Grand Junction area.
Each player golfed nine holes on each of the three courses on Saturday with an 18-hole championship round on Sunday at the Jefferson Municipal course.
Healy states that 27 golfers made the cut and competed on Sunday’s championship round.
Chris Anderson ended up as the overall winner with a first day score of 100, second-day score of 77 for a total of 177. The runner-up spot went to Kyle Pieper who shot a combined, two day score of 180. Steve Tucker placed third with a score of 182 and Erick Buntenbach shot a 186.
