Greene County High School senior Michael Von Stein begins the football season with a noticeable difference; this is his last go-round! When asked about being a senior he responded, “It’s a lot more fun as a football player having kids look up to you and playing with kids you’ve been playing with since seventh grade. As a senior you feel more compelled to work harder and to show these kids what they need to do to get better, to leave a legacy for them.” Von Stein pointed out some of the differences from the first season of Greene County football in 2012. “This year we’re going to be a team that’s a lot more physical than last year. This team has decided that they’re going to put a lot more effort into this year. This off season we did a lot more, a lot more seven-on-seven and a lot more kids have been in the weight room, and I think we’re ready.”

The Rams open tonight in Perry at Dewey Field at 7:30 p.m. vs. the Blue Jays in non-district play.
