The Dallas County Conservation Board is hosting a rock and mineral event later this month and everyone is invited to participate.
It takes place Saturday, September 28th at the Voas Nature Area. The one of a kind event offers the public a chance to bring rocks and minerals to be identified or swapped with other in attendance. Attendees will also be able to learn more about geology, experience old fashioned gold panning and take a nature walk.
The event is free and open to the public. It takes place from 11am-3pm west of Minburn.
