High school sports fans have their one and only opportunity to watch all three Greene County Rams varsity fall sports teams at home this week in a span of 24 hours. After opening their season on the road on Sept. 10, the volleyball Rams will be home with Colfax-Mingo on Sept. 12 at 5 p.m. in the middle school gym in Jefferson. Also on Sept. 12, the one and only home cross-country meet of the season will be held on the high school grounds in Jefferson. The Ram Invitational has middle school races starting at 4:30 p.m. and varsity competition is set for 5 p.m. One day later, Friday, Sept. 13, the Greene County football team looks for its first win as the Rams host Shenandoah in the Class 2A District 8 opener. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. from Linduska Field with coverage on KG98 starting at 6 p.m. Friday.

At no other time this year will cross-country, football, and volleyball all have competitions in Jefferson. Thursday and Friday present great opportunities for fans to see all teams at their home venues.
