The 2013 summer of Scoop the Loop nights in Stuart has officially come to an end, and organizer Bob Cook says the final scoop this past Saturday was as good as it gets for a community event.

“I think we finished our year with a great evening, a lot of smiles.  That’s all we ever wanted to create was a lot of smiles and happy moments.  Great bunch of beautiful cars, the people showed up, the community showed up, and people are anxious for next year to get rollin’.”

Cook says he already has themes planned for the three Scoop the Loop nights during the summer of 2014 and dates for those nights will be selected by the end of the week.

Cook says the special tribute to the Stuart Fire and Rescue Departments accomplished what he wanted it to, but wishes he could do more to show his thanks and gratitude to the volunteers of both organizations.

“I just want to encourage the community to continue to support both those departments in every aspect, any way we can.  Those people are phenomenal.  I tip my hat to them.  I couldn’t do what they do, and I want to make sure they feel respected and honored by the community everyday.”

Attendance on Saturday night was the largest it has been for any Scoop the Loop event yet according to Cook.  Car numbers were slightly down from the previous July night, but Cook says he made connections with car enthusiasts in Carroll who will get involved with the events next year to help bolster the number of cars that are shown.
