Waneta Woods of Atlantic was traveling south on Highway 169 in De Soto when she was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Cathy Bruett of Winterset. No injuries reported. Damage to Woods vehicle estimated at $4000.00 and $3000.00 to Bruett’s. Bruett was cited for failure to atop in an assured clear distance.

Elizabeth Sumpter of Adel was traveling east on Highway 44 when she fell asleep at the wheel. Sumpter’s vehicle made contact with the rear driver’s side of a vehicle driven by Leslie Anderson of Minburn. From there the vehicle then collided with the rear corner of a trailer driven by Adam Henderson of Ankeny. Anderson was transported to Methodist Main by the Dallas County EMS. Damage to Sumpter’s vehicle estimated at $1000.00, $8000.00 to Anderson’s and $500.00 to Henderson’s
Tessa Luella Garcia, age 34 of 1302 East 19th St., Des Moines was arrested on a warrant for theft.
Lance Edward Kruse, age 30 of 415 7th Ave., SW., Clarion was arrested at S 6th St., and Northview Dr., for driving while revoked.
