A deputy was advised of two motorcycles being ridden in a careless and disturbing manner around Dana. The deputy did locate several people that did admit to racing around the town on their motorcycles and the two were advised of the noise issue at that time of the night.

A rural Scranton resident came to the Law Enforcement Center to speak with a deputy about the unauthorized use of his credit card.

The Chief Deputy Sheriff was advised by a caller that a female was standing on the Raccoon River bridge south of Jefferson. Three deputy’s and two Jefferson Police Officers responded and it was later determined that the female was taking pictures of the river area from the bridge.

A deputy assisted the Department of Human Services with the removal and placement of three children into foster care.

A deputy was advised of a red Peterbuilt semi-tractor trailer driving at an excessive speed on Highway 4 north of Jefferson.

A deputy responded to an alarm activation at a residence in the 200 block of H Avenue. The deputy checked the residence and found everything to be in order.

The communications personnel at the Greene County Law Enforcement center received a phone call from a female stating that she had just received a cell phone call from her husband explaining he had just been involved in a motorcycle accident on his way from Squirrel Hollow Park to Jefferson. The female lost the signal of the call and was not able to determine the location of the accident or return a call to her husband. The deputy and two Jefferson Police Officers responded to look for the male motorcyclist. The deputy then received word that the male had driven himself to the Greene County Medical Center Emergency Room. Nick Long of Jefferson was not seriously injured but was issued a citation for not having a valid motorcycle endorsement.

A deputy was asked by a Grand Junction resident to verify the validity of a no contact order.

A deputy was dispatched to Grand Junction for a reported phone harassment complaint. While the deputy was at the residence they received another phone call and it was soon determined that the caller was not calling the correct phone number.

A deputy was asked to help find a Scranton resident that had walked away from his home. Upon the deputy’s arrival the male was located returning to his home.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
