The City of Adel continues to work on clean up after last week’s thunderstorm.

High winds caused damage to utility poles, power lines and trees and heavy rains resulted in some flash flooding Thursday.

Thousands were without power after the storm and city crews worked quickly to get the water and waste water treatment plants back up and running.

This week they will continue to pick up remaining limbs and branches that feel in the right-of-way.

Residents are asked to assist with clean-up efforts by dropping debris off at the tree branch and limb site on the east side of Old Portland Road, half a mile south of the ADM High School exit.
