Jefferson LibraryThe Jefferson Public Library children’s department invites any three to six year-olds to Ready Reader’s Story Time.

The free program allows youngsters to join in fun activities while enhancing their learning abilities in reading and creative skills.  Along with reading, there will also be crafts, games, music, numbers and alphabet recognition.

Children’s librarian Terry Clark says there’s no pre-registration required and while she encourages your child to come to every story time, she points out that you’re not required to be at every one of them.

There are four sessions throughout the year with the fall session to begin from Tuesday, September 23rd through November 12th.  The program will be on Tuesdays from 10-11am.

An adult or a responsible caregiver must be in the library during story time, but you can enjoy the adult department, use wireless Internet or visit with other adults.

Anyone with questions can call Clark at 386-4415.
