The Guthrie County Extension and Outreach Office has one of its signature courses beginning later this week.  isu-extension

“Powerful Tools for Caregivers” is a class designed to provide caregivers with the skills they need to take care of themselves along with loved ones.

Because caregiving can be taxing physically, emotionally and even financially, Program Coordinator Mary Ebert says this six-week course is a great tool that local residents can use to help them deal with the stresses of caring for children, loved ones or whoever it may be.

Ebert says the course is one of her favorite that the Extension Office offers because it helps participants improve their self-confidence and allows them to achieve better balance in their daily lives.

Each class will be two and a half hours long, with the first being this Thursday from 3 to 5:30pm at Lakeside Village in Panora.  The class will then meet every subsequent Thursday through November 7th.

The participation fee for the course is $10.  To register call the Extension Office at 641-747-2276.
