A California man was arrested for drug charges in Stuart Sunday evening.
According to Stuart Police, an officer stopped 43 year-old Stacy Wright of San Leandro, California for speeding around 8pm Sunday. During the stop, Wright’s passenger told police there was marijuana in the vehicle’s glove box.
After a full search, officers located a large amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and items used to grow marijuana.
Wright was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license. He also received a speeding ticket and was booked into the Adair County jail where he remains held on a $5,000 bond.
