Gregory Holt of Des Moines was traveling in the 22000 block of Highway 44 when his vehicle struck a deer.  No injuries reported.  Damage to the vehicle estimated at $2000.00.

Alexander Eugene Wright, age 18 of 813 41, Des Moines was arrested on a warrant for operating a vehicle with no consent.

Dallas County Secondary Roads Department reported the theft of 30 safety cones from the 29000 block of F31.
