There are more details released about the one vehicle accident in Boone County from September 22nd.

Boone County Chief Deputy Sheriff Rick Lampe says at 5:12pm on Sunday, September 22nd, Aaron Skalla of Scranton was westbound on 230th Street and B Avenue when he lost control of his 2001 Ford F-250 pickup truck and entered the north ditch, swerved out of that ditch and entered the south ditch, rolled the vehicle and came to a stop in the south ditch with part of the pickup truck on the road and part of it in the ditch.

Lampe states that the 22 year-old Skalla was trapped in the vehicle and had to removed by medical personnel and was then transported by air ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.  He was later released.

Lampe notes that there were two other males in the pickup, Jared Dennhardt of Jefferson and John Jenkins II of Muscatine were taken by ambulance to Boone County Hospital and the extend of the injuries and condition is unknown at this time.

Lampe adds that Skalla has been charged with driving a vehicle while barred which is an aggravated misdemeanor and pending results from a blood alcohol test, a possible operating while intoxicated is still under investigation.

Lampe also notes that despite what was initially reported to Raccoon Valley Radio, Jennifer Brown of Jefferson was not involved in the accident.
