trees foreverVolunteers are needed to help plant 37 trees tomorrow at Nally Park in Jefferson.

Committee co-chair Peg Raney says they received a $3,500 grant from Alliant Energy’s Branching Out program to plant 37 trees in the public park that’s located east of the St. Joseph’s Parish Center.

She comments that Greene County Middle School science teacher Gerry Stein will be taking his eighth grade class out to the park to plant trees at 8:30am.

Trees Forever Coordinator Brad Riphagen will be leading the project and giving an educational background for the students.

Raney encourages the public to come and help plant trees as the final phase of the project gets underway tomorrow morning.
