CHEERLEADER HOMECOMINGAt last night’s community pep rally, Shelby Cooklin and Karter Ruzicka were crowned this year’s Greene County High School homecoming queen and king.

The night began with a jersey auction which raised $3,825 with all the proceeds to go back to the cheerleaders and $570 was raised by the fall teams items auction with the money to go to the athletic booster club.  Max Neese’s jersey brought in the most money with $260.

Then after the fans were entertained by the cheerleaders and various students commenting on their fall sports progress, the coronation ceremony was held.  Cooklin and Ruzicka were crowned by Paton-Churdan’s homecoming queen and king with Emma Tilley and Chance Paup.

All the court candidates and the king and queen will be featured in the homecoming parade and football game later today.
