The Dallas County Conservation office invites everyone in the area to learn how to navigate through the wilderness next weekend.
The Navigate the Wilds compass and GPS event takes place Sunday, October 13th at the Kuehn Conservation Area from 1-5:30pm.
Attendees will the basics of using a topographic map and compass along with use of a handheld GPS device.
Participants should plan to bring water, a snack, bug spray and good hiking shoes.
