One of the main highlights of the Jefferson All School Reunion is the program on Saturday night.

Committee Co-Chair Karen Andrew says the first guest speaker at the inaugural All School Reunion in 1953 was the founder of the Gallup Polls, George Gallup.

Ever since then, Andrew adds, its typically been one of two individuals that will cover everything.

This year, she wanted to do something different.  She wanted to find one person from each decade to talk about their experiences while in high school during that decade.

“I am so grateful that seven people stepped up and said I will do that for you.  And I think it’s going to be delightful.”

Following each person’s five-minute speech, Andrew comments that there will be a special tribute done by Rick Morain.

“Frank Linduska, who lived in this community for 30 years.  (He) enriched so many lives (and) started out as a teacher and a coach (and) working himself up to superintendent.  This is the man that Linduska Field is named after, this is the man that everyone that knew him, has a great story to tell about a great, great guy.”

The program starts at 6pm on Saturday night at the Greene County Middle School gymnasium in Jefferson.
