lake panoramaThere are numerous construction projects ongoing in the Lake Panorama area during this fall season.

Association General Manager John Rutledge says the lake’s maintenance and water departments will be working on roads, doing ditch repair work and installing signs over the course of the next couple months.

Rutledge says he’s unsure when all the construction projects will be complete because the unpredictable weather pattern we’ve all had to deal with this year.

“The irony of 2013 is we had a lot of rainfall in June and it caused some flooding and then we had what has been termed a flash drought.  Now we’re thankful of the return of some moisture here in late September and October but it’s going to be challenging to put timelines on our projects.  We have an aggressive list of things to accomplish and we’ll work right up until the weather shuts us down.”

Rutledge asks residents to watch for “Road Construction” signs and workers in reflective gear as they travel and to give workers plenty of space to do their jobs safely in the coming weeks.  Travel delays, if any, should be minimal and temporary.

Travelers should also know that the Lake Panorama Security Department has been directed to enforce speed limits in road construction areas.  Fines will be assessed if drivers don’t slow down and use extra caution in work zones.
