Jefferson Police BadgeGreene County’s homecoming might be over, but some of the negative impacts might not be.

Jefferson Police Chief Dave Morlan says some of the antics went beyond just toilet papering people’s houses.  There were reports from several people in the City that used applesauce and syrup and stuck it to people’s vehicles and left it on their property.

Other reports showed fireworks were set off and toilet paper was stuffed into the exhaust pipes of vehicles at people’s homes.  Some acts are considered to be criminal.

Chief Morlan points out that it’s very disappointing that teenagers commit these acts and just because it’s homecoming doesn’t mean that they can mindlessly break the law and think it doesn’t apply to them.

He comments that due to criminal actions, there will be possible charges against a group of teenagers who caused criminal mischief or damage to people’s property.
