crop walkPerry held its most successful CROP Hunger Walk to date last month and if you missed it there’s still a chance to help out.

Chris Carstarphen tells Raccoon Valley Radio the walk included 130 participants, which is a 30% increase over last year.  A total of 518 items were collected for the local food pantry and monetary donations have exceeded $3,200.

Carstarphen says the primary objective this year was increasing participation and making the event fun for all, with the hope that monetary fundraising would increase as well.  Overall he says the event was a huge success and area youth really turned out to help.

Anyone who would still like to donate to the CROP Hunger Walk cause can do so through a link that can be found in this story at RaccoonValleyRadio.com or by calling 677-2346.
