Beggar’s Night is undoubtedly the favorite Halloween activity that kids enjoy, and the date for trick-or-treating nights has officially been set in towns across Guthrie County.
At Monday’s City Council meeting, Mayor Dick Cook set Thursday, October 31st as the day for Beggar’s Night in Stuart. Kids will trick-or-treat from 5 to 7pm in the downtown area and from 6 to 8pm in the residential neighborhoods.
Children in Guthrie Center will also hold Beggar’s Night on Thursday, October 31st. Trick-or-treating downtown will be from 5 to 6pm, and in the residential areas from 6 to 8pm.
In Panora, the City Council has set October 30th, no matter what day it falls on, as the permanent date for Beggar’s Night. So this year, kids will trick-or-treat on Wednesday the 30th from 6 to 8pm. That will be for the downtown and residential areas.
