Panorama Panthers PictureThe Panorama School Board met Monday for its October meeting, and there are couple of projects on the horizon for the district.

The seven-lane track at the high school has a lot of wear and tear, and School Board Secretary Sarah Young tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the district is hoping to fix the track’s rough terrain and add a lane after the spring track season.  The track is being looked at in the days ahead to see if any areas could be fixed for this coming season, but it’s likely the track will undergo construction beginning next May.

Another action the Board will soon take is with the development of a district communication plan.  Young says the outgoing board members along with the new members that were sworn in during Monday’s meeting, have voiced an interest in increasing communication and transparency between the public and the district itself.

Superintendent Kathryn Elliot will devise a plan and present it to the Board at the November meeting, which is currently scheduled for Monday, November 11th.
