ADMThough the ADM football team didn’t get the result it wanted in between the white lines Friday night against Harlan, the loss turned out to be inconsequential as the Tigers are headed to the district playoffs for a sixth consecutive season.

ADM fell to Harlan 30-7 at home in its final game of the regular season, but Lewis Central’s 38-10 win over Creston ultimately sealed the Tigers’ berth into postseason play as the number three seed out of District 1.

The Tigers will face Carroll on the road in the first round of the playoffs this Wednesday.

ADM will head to Carroll on a three game losing streak, and despite being a team that some would say is reeling down the season’s stretch run, the Tigers looked to pick up a little momentum in the second half against Harlan Friday.

The Cyclones jumped out to a 30-0 halftime lead, thanks in large part to great field position in the first quarter. But after the first 12 minutes of action, ADM outperformed Harlan, and topped the second half scoreboard seven to nil.

It will take a performance similar to what the Tigers showed in the second half Friday to knock off Carroll. Those Tigers have won seven of their last eight games with their only loss being to top-ranked Sioux City Heelan.

We’ll have pregame coverage of Wednesday’s playoff game beginning at 6:30 on 107.9FM, KKRF.  Kick-off will follow at 7 o’clock.
