All but one of the seven football teams in Class 2A District 8 have completed their seasons. District champion Kuemper Catholic (Carroll) is 11-0 and top ranked in most polls. The Knights face Gilbert (8-3) in a quarterfinal contest on Friday, Nov. 8 at Carroll Athletic Field with the winner moving onto the semifinals inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. All-district selections cannot be released by media outlets until Kuemper has completed its season.

Greene County head football coach Dean Lansman and his staff will be passing out letters and other awards tomorrow night in the middle school gym during the annual potluck supper and awards night. District rules allow Lansman to tell the crowd what Rams were honored by the district, but the media is not allowed to report the honorees until all district teams are done. Starting time Thursday night in the middle school gym is 6:30 p.m.
