Community members are invited to the Perry Elks Lodge tonight for dinner.

Perry resident Amanda Finneseth is preparing to embark on a World Race mission trip in 2014 and she’s hosting a free willing offering pasta supper this evening to raise the funds needed to go.

The 11 month trip will take Finneseth to several oversea communities in need of help.

“I will be in a new country every month, so that means a lot of traveling.  The first four countries are in Central America, then I move to Africa for the next three and the final four are in Asia.  So I’m pretty excited to see a diverse amount of countries and different cultures and just kind of be immersed in the world that God’s created” says Finneseth.

The total cost of travel, food and lodging for the trip is around $17,000 and Finneseth is currently half way there in terms of fundraising.

Tonight’s dinner takes place between 5 and 8pm at the Elks Lodge.  World Race t-shirts and refurbished furniture will also be available for sale.
