rockets logoThe 4-1 Paton-Churdan girls basketball team is looking for a big road victory tonight when they head to Coon Rapids.

Head Coach Chris Peterson says his girls will have to be at their best against the team to took them out of the postseason last year in a 44-30 lose on the road on February 7th.

He talks about the type of environment that they faced in the playoffs last year and going into this year, Peterson adds that road victories are a concern.

“They always bring people into the game and we just have to figure out a way to get into a flow on the road and I think that’s our biggest focus and concern right now.”

Last time these two teams met, sophomore McKenna Zanders put up 21 points on the the Rockets and is already scoring 17 points on average this season.  The 4-2 Crusaders are 3-2 at home this year, having 5 of their first six games at home.

Paton-Churdan’s only loss of the year so far has been to AR-WE-VA on the road.

The girl’s game will be first at 6pm.
