Due to the freezing rain advisory in effect throughout central Iowa last night, the ADM Tigers’ triangle dual meet wrestling matches against Winterset and Carlisle were postponed.

The meets have not yet been rescheduled.

Even despite the postponement, the Tigers still have business to take care of on the mats this weekend.  ADM will head east this afternoon to compete in the first day of the 2013 Battle of Waterloo.

There are 32 teams competing in the tournament, and the Tigers have been placed in Pool D along with Cedar Rapids Prairie, Pleasant Valley, West Des Moines Valley, Union, Cedar Falls, Woodbury Central and Nashua Plainfield.

While this weekend will be another rigorous test for Tigers’ wrestlers against some top competition, head coach Justin Schmauss feels his guys are better prepared for such an event given that they’ve competed in tournaments each of the past two weekends.

Schmauss says the majority of his wrestlers’ held up with their conditioning level last weekend in the team’s rolling dual meet tournament at Grinnell, and he expects their mentality and conditioning to hold up once again in Waterloo.
