The Greene County High School girls’ basketball team resumes practice today after a week off, but tomorrow (Dec. 28) the Rams will be host to a 10-team scrimmage. Head coach Chad Morton explains; “This year we’ll have nine teams in addition to us and we’ll be at three locations in Jefferson, the Greene County Community Center, the high school, and the middle school. We’ll do three-team round-robin scrimmages and we’ll rotate three times to the different gyms.” Coach Morton added the scrimmages are in 15 minute segments, so the action is fast-paced. He said the advantages are the girls get to see a lot of different players and playing styles in one day.

The Rams will scrimmage on Dec. 31 in Denison before resuming the 2014 portion of the season on Jan. 3 in Gilbert. KG98 will have the girl/boy doubleheader from the new high school in Gilbert with coverage starting at 5:45 p.m. The girls play at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow.
