ADMADM’s struggles on the hardwood continued last night as both the boys and girls teams dropped their conference matchups with the visiting Carlisle Wildcats.

In the girls’ game, the Tigers saw their offensive woes continue and lost their fifth consecutive game to drop to 4-7.  ADM could muster just 37 points on the night and fell by 21 points.

The Tigers held a narrow lead of 5-4 after the first quarter, but it was all Carlisle after that, as the Wildcats went on a 12-0 run to start the second quarter and never looked back.

Molly Jacobsen was ADM’s lone double-figurer scorer in the contest—she finished with 10.

The boys’ loss was a little more difficult to swallow for Tiger fans, as Coach Aaron Mager’s club controlled play for the first three quarters.

To start out the ballgame, ADM went on a quick 11-0 run thanks to three-pointers from Joe Sloss and Kyle Ferguson.  The Tigers then remained in the lead until early on in the fourth quarter, when the Wildcats went on a 10-0 run over the first two minutes of the final stanza to take their first lead of the night.

ADM clawed to stay in it over the game’s final six minutes, but ultimately Carlisle made its free throws late and pulled off the 69-62 come-from-behind win.  The Tigers are now 3-8 on the year.

Joe Sloss led the Tigers in scoring against Carlisle, as the junior poured in 15.  It was his first game in double-figures this season.

ADM’s boys and girls will next be in action Friday night for another conference doubleheader against Bondurant-Farrar.
