Greene County evened its Heart of Iowa Activities conference dual wrestling meet record at three wins and three losses with a 48-21 victory on Tuesday night in Jefferson over Nevada. The Rams are 8-10 overall. The meet was to originally been held on Jan. 16 in Nevada, but was weathered out. The Cubs fall to 3-2 in conference dual meets.

Both teams forfeited three weight classes and no match was held at 220 lbs. because neither team had an entry. The Rams had falls from Dylan Forkner (126), Jordan Challen (132), Tommy Bradshaw (138), and Jeremy Scheuermann (152). Winning by decisions were Abe Yoder (145) and Daric Whipple (160). Whipple had knee surgery in November and made his season debut on the varsity on Tuesday night.

The Rams host Gilbert at 6:30 p.m. in the middle school gym in Jefferson on Thursday night in HOIAC action. The conference tournament is Sat., Jan. 25 in Jewell hosted by South Hamilton starting at 10 a.m.
