ADMThe ADM girls basketball team won its first road game of the season Saturday evening in Stuart, as the Tigers rode 24 points from sophomore Brianna Mueller to an easy 88-49 win over West Central Valley.

It was the second consecutive game in double figures for Mueller and fellow sophomore Molly Jacobsen, who contributed 18 points of her own against the Wildcats.

Coach Brett Watson said a fast start would be key against West Central Valley, as he worried about his team’s ability to bounce back from a difficult Friday loss at Winterset in which ADM unraveled late. But the Tigers responded nicely and got off to the quick start they needed Saturday, taking a 22-9 lead after the first quarter of action.

ADM then led 40-27 at halftime, as West Central Valley star Bailee Arnburg did what she could to keep the Wildcats in it.  After the intermission though, it was all Tigers as they rolled to their highest scoring output of the season.

Kenzi Sutton and Sydney Bertman also finished in double-figures for ADM, as they each pitched in 10 points apiece.

Arnburg had 19 points to lead the Wildcats’ scoring on the night.

Up next for Coach Watson and company is a conference road contest at Carroll tomorrow night.  ADM whalloped Carroll 84-8 in the two teams’ first meeting back on December 13th.
