ADMADM’s basketball teams found it tough sledding on the road last night, as the Tigers’ girls and boys teams both lost hard-fought battles at Ballard.

In game one, the ADM girls got off to a slow start offensively and managed just seven points in the first half.  But after trailing 23-7 at intermission, the Tigers came out clicking in the second half to trim their deficit to single-digits multiple times.

Unfortunately ADM just couldn’t get over the hump with a big momentous run and ran out of steam late.  Ballard ended up victorious with a 52-39 win.

A silver lining in the losing effort though, the Tigers had three scorers in double-figures.  Sydney Bertman led the scoring with 14, Molly Jacobsen tacked on 11 and Brianna Mueller pitched in 10.

With the loss, Coach Brett Watson’s club fell to 7-10 on the season.

In game two, ADM again came out on the wrong end of a closely contested battle.  The Tigers and Bombers went back-and-forth for much of the contest, but Ballard made its free throws down the stretch to pull out the 74-64 win.

Logan Essy led ADM in scoring with 25 points on the night, as he held up his end of the highly anticipated point guard matchup with Mason Jensen.  Jensen himself had 30 points in the game to lead all scorers.

The boys’ loss was their second on the week and Coach Mager’s squad is now 4-12 on the year.
