Spring hydrant flushing will soon begin at Lake Panorama.

The Lake Panorama Association’s Water Company will flush hydrants during a two week period beginning Monday, March 31st.  Flushing will occur periodically throughout the weekdays from March 31 to April 4, and then from April 7 to April 11.

The flushing process is intended to stir up and remove sediments that accumulate in the hydrant system due the the lake’s high mineral content.

The LPA recommends that residents check water conditions prior to doing laundry during these flushing times.  Loose sediment in the hydrant system could cause laundry to be stained or discolored.

The LPA also advises residents to check their home’s water cartridge filters after the flushing period ends to be sure all sediment has been removed.
