ADMIt’s officially time for the ADM boys’ track team to head outdoors.

The Tigers competed in the Central College Boys High School Invitational Friday to wrap up their indoor season, and there were a few performances in particular that deserve some recognition.

Senior shot putter Jesse Bennett came close to winning yet again in his signature event, but his throw of 49’7” left him in second, two feet behind the winning throw.

ADM also got a couple of 4th place finishes from individuals in two of the sprinting events from Friday.  Tate Jensen reeled in a 4th place finish in the 55-meter hurdles, running the dash in 7.69 seconds.  Then in the 800, Kyle Hovey finished in 2:11.30 to finish in 4th.

Jensen had a nice showing in the 400-meter run in Pella as well.  The senior sprinter also finished 8th with a time of 55.53 seconds.

Jacob West had another standout performance in the high jump for ADM, eclipsing that elusive 6-foot mark to tie for 5th.
