Perry residents are reminded that the annual Spring Clean-Up takes place early next week.

Starting on Monday, crews will pick up items east of 1st Street and South of Willis Avenue.  Tuesday they’ll stop by homes east of 1st Street and North of Willis Avenue and all areas west of 1st Street will be picked up on Wednesday.

There are some regulations to keep in mind when cleaning out your homes, yards or garages… all items need to be place on the curb by 7am to guarantee pickup.  Small items need to be place in trash cans, sturdy boxes or other disposable containers.

The cost is $25 for up to one-half of a dump truck load, with each additional half load or portion thereof being charged another $25.  Appliances can also be disposed of for $25 each.  Box springs, mattresses or sofas are $20 each and a microwave can be picked up for $15.

Items that will not be accepted include tires, hazardous materials or any kind, batteries, paint cans, brush, concrete and metal bed springs.

The City will send out statements for items collected next month.

Anyone with questions can call City Hall at 465-2481.
