golfADM’s boys and girls golf teams have busy links schedules in this week ahead, but before we look at where they’ll be playing, let’s look back to last week and see how the Tigers fared.

Coach Cris Goodale’s teams were both in action Thursday, with the girls beating Dallas Center-Grimes in a home head-to-head dual.  The boys took second in the Woodward-Granger Invitational.

Let’s start with the girls, who won their dual over rival DC-G with a score of 207 at River Valley Golf Course in Adel.  DC-G shot a 238.  ADM’s Lexi Owen was the meet medalist with a score of 47, while teammate Haley Willems was runner-up with a 50.

At the Woodward-Granger Invite, the boys shot 158 to finish in second place out of seven competing teams.  The Tigers lost to Ballard by three shots.

But there was some individual success from ADM, as Brody Boston was medalist at the tournament, shooting a 1-under par 34.  His teammate Joe Vest shot even par 35 to finish as runner-up.

Coach Goodale says he’s still looking for more production from his three and four spots on the boys team, saying the “consistency” from those two spots needs to improve.

Coming up this week, the ADM girls are in action tomorrow at Ballard, while the boys head to Winterset tomorrow, DC-G on Thursday and then compete in a tournament at Perry on Saturday.
