Funeral services for Vernas Shipley, 84, of Perry will be Thursday at 10:30am at First Christian Church in Perry, burial will be at Violet Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1pm Wednesday with family receiving friends from 6-8pm at Murdock Funeral Home. Memorials to Friends of the Perry Public Library and American Cancer Society. Surviving are, husband Dale of Perry, son, Doug of Perry, daughter, Janette of West Des Moines, one grandson Christopher of Norwalk, six sisters, Doris of Perry, Pat of Perry, Norma of Perry, Verna of Norwalk, Sandra of McComb, IL and Linda of Alexandria, MN, and one brother, Donald of Perry.
